Our dogs

Approximately 30 St. Bernard dogs are permanent residents at the Barry Foundation. Following in the tradition of the Great Saint Bernard dogs, we primarily breed the short-haired variety. Only a few of our St. Bernards are long-haired.

Every year, our breeding programme produces an average of 20 pedigree puppies. A team comprising a breeding manager, several animal keepers and apprentices ensure the dogs’ well-being, optimum development and socialisation while providing professional dog training.
