Our loveable dogs in close contact with the children
The Barry Foundation can look back on a very well-attended children’s afternoon in the centre of the village of Geroldswil on 18 October 2014. All the activities on offer, which ranged from Barry biscuit baking to painting and balloon competitions, not forgetting personal souvenir photos with the dogs from the Great Saint Bernard pass, made the children’s eyes sparkle. There was no shortage of culinary delights, with hot dogs, Barry Snacks, cider and a selection of party food.
Rides in a little cart pulled by the dogs were without a doubt the highlight of the afternoon. Where else can you get a ride in a dog taxi, apart from at the Barry Foundation? In any case, our little visitors were extremely enthusiastic about this means of transport.
The first ever children’s afternoon organised by the Barry Foundation was made possible by the Geroldswil-Oetwil trade association and the municipality of Geroldswil, to whom we would like to say a big thank you!
Although our youngest fans are no higher than the Saint Bernards’ noses, the good-natured, loveable giants manage to soften every child’s heart, even the most intimidated, which in turn makes their parents beam with joy.
Who knows, perhaps we will soon be coming to a place near you – our anniversary year 2015 is just around the corner, with a whole host of surprises!
